Screenwriter

There's not much to add to my post on the subject, which I might one day move to this page. Screenplay is a very spare form.  Every line of imagery or dialogue has to be overloaded with import, and yet be completely transparent and straightforward.

Character is revealed by choices, but the choices show the dimensions of the character. If the characters don't operate along the axis of the choice, if it is not a real dilemma for them, if it didn't capture a contradiction in them, then it is uninteresting.  So the story needs to be one that could bifurcate at every choice and reach the heights or depths or anywhere in between.

My biggest weakness is probably volume and speed.  I don't churn em out.  I should be trying to do that.
