You know who is symmetrical? Anonymous and the NSA. I doubt there is any overlap, but they are mirror images - drawn of identical similarities and polar oppositions.
I've actually been thinking that they are in many ways alike. Both seem to hack to discover the dirty secrets of governments and others and to bring them to the attention of others. Anonymous, wikileaks and the like just have a wider audience for their intelligence. I find it ironic that the organizations set up to leak are so against others spying. I also wonder if the populace would be more supportive of the NSA of it published/leaked more details of the badness in the world it discovered.
